My Guestbook

hi, this is one cool site probably the
best list of releases i've seen ,been
into the 'wind for about 18 years and it
never ceases to amaze me how many albums
there are ,looking through your list i've
seen a few new ones ,i co-run a hawkwind
web site www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk if you
get time check us out, we spend time
trying to get people to send us those pix
that most of us never see (ones that the
fans have taken etc)once again a great
site

Just found this website. 50 years old
this year, my god. Totally conventional
middle-class suburban executive
lifestyle. And I dont mind that at all.

... but I have all my old Hawkwind
vinyls, and still dig them out from time
to time. Mk 1 "In Search of Space",
complete with The Log, still going strong
after all this time. First edition
Hawkwind, too, which must have been in
the record shop for a few years before I
bought it. All the old peripheral stuff,
too "Captain Lockheed", and "Greasy
Truckers Party" (which I dont see in the
discography).

Well remember travelling round the
country in my old beat-up VW Beetle to
track them down. Was there by chance at
the recording of "Space Ritual" in the
old Liverpool Stadium, now gone, in 1973.
Can remember taking girlfriends to the
gigs who didn't quite understand what was
going on. Recall the band came through
Edinburgh, where I was at Uni, about once
a year in the mid-1970s ... all long ago
and far away. Am I still into them? You
bet!

An old fan of "The Masters Of The
Universe"

44 years old, but my memory is still OK!

Memory lane is a long road.......

I remember seeing them several times,
most often in Guildford, Surrey. I had
all but forgotten them, until my kids
were talking about Ozzy Ozbourne. I got
to thinking about the Melody Maker
article. "Masters Of the Universe - flat
broke on earth" Followed a few links and
ended here.

Jesus it brings back an awful lot of
memories of when I lived in
England.......24 years ago....

Uriah Heep (saw them a few years back
here in Denmark, they haven't changed
much) Black Sabbath, Deep Purple (they've
been here a few times as well) Captain
Lockheed and the star fighters (what
really lead me to this site in the first
place), Magma, Rory Gallagher (I heard
that he's dead??)Yes, Genisis

Writing in English is bit unusual for me
now.

Any comments just send a few
lines....yeah thar would be nice.

Yours Barry Nielsen, DK

So glad that mr.Brock didn't stay with
'blues'.A Hawkwind gig stays in your mind
like no other. If Bob had lived,I
tantalise myself with the
Dave,Simon,Alan,Bob lineup.I'd like to
hear 'Kadu Flyer' revived as a live
number.

I have a vinyl copy of Hawkwinds Sonic
Attack that is printed with the same side
on both sides (I can't remember if it is
side one or side two). This comes with
the original WH Smith (UK retailer)
receipt dated 02-01-82 and priced 3.99.
Cover always been in vinyl protection and
only played a couple of times, so
pristine.

Drop me a line if you would like to make
me an offer.

Bought The Xenon Codex reissue on impulse
a few years back (I'm only 18!), got it
out for the first time in ages, loved it,
found this place while listening to it.

Eep.

I thought us Pitch Shifter fans had it
bad...

Mint site. Well designed and informative.
Anyone recommend me the next album I
should get?

-Mark

I have been trying to find info on
Hawkwind, and CDs for a long time, it
looks like I have accessed the right
website.

Have a good one.

Hawkwind is THE only spacerock band worth
talking about, they ARE the masters. They
can make you naturally high, you can
relax, party do whatever to their albums.
I have tried to collect their albums, but
they have don so damn many so it feels
like i have to do it till the end of my
days!
I wish i could see them live sometimes,
but i have missed their shows in
Stockholm, but sometimes so...

Heeeelp........

I am looking for a solo album from Robert
Calvert that called criketstar. Is there
anyone in this universe who can help me
on this tracks. Dream must continue not
to end......

Hawkwind

A band that blow your mind in space to
see and feel the power just in case.
It opens like a funny surprise, but one
moment you realise....
Hawkwind means more for earth or stars,
when their was exploded on Mars.
Saturnus should send a magic power and a
magnificent sound was send for an our.
The time send an endless wave where
people can trip and rave.
People were born to go......
