My Guestbook

During Art lessons at school in North
Devon UK around 1975, my art teacher,
Phil Tonkin, was always in the corner
working on his own work - "Hawkwind
album covers".

Is this fact or fiction (one I seem to
remember involved an open plug?????)

Totally impressive.

I`m in the process of digitalizing my
Hawkwind vinyl and your site was too
useful for words.

Great Site, I would like to exchange
links if you are interested. I've been
collecting Hawkwind on Vinyl for a while
now and still dont have a copy of
Electric Teepee, where can I get one for
50.00 or less? Also in search of
Hawkwinds 1st album w/ gatefold cover &
booklet, not the more common regular
pocket cover. Thanks...

While pursueing a goal to grand to be put
to words I stumbled across these pages.
In my possesion I've got a 4-cd boxset by
Hawkwind called:
Hawkwind 25 years on
It was released in 1994
by Griffin Music a subsidiary of Gopaco
Inc. , Box 87587, Carol Stream, Illinois
and as a bonus contains 2 comics;" Ledge
of Darkness " and "Further extracts from
the HawkwindLog".
It isn't featured in your lengthy list of
compact discs.

I would like to see a master alphabetical
listing by song, by realease, if live or
Studio.

A canadian where Hawkwind is an
endangered species, I'm trying to
complete my collection. The cost of
ordering Hawkwind, (I've blown over $120
this month alone) and never know what
you're getting on Napster etc, I would
like to know what songs they did and
where I can track them dowj from.

When will Hawkwind come again to Holland
for a few gigs??

It's a long time ago.

I first heard HAWKWIND from some freaks
who seemed overly excited by a new
release called "Space Rituals" way back
when and by the time it was through
playing I had chosen a new favorite band
and have since tried to turn everyone I
meet onto their sound. It even seems as
though I've started finding people who
have heard of them before in the last
half of the last decade and that is
refreshing as some of the areas I have
found fans were not where one might
expect (ie.Oklahoma and Missouri). And
although I have yet to see a live show I
am a lifelong fan.

Cool site! Great band!

well constructed web page andrew, keep up
the good work.

A nice discography, though it would be
better in order of release dates rather
than alphabet.
Many of these albums/CD's are now
deleted. It would be helpful if this was
shown.
Keep up the good work!

This is a great site. It is so difficult
to find your way through Hawkwind's
tortuous catalogue with all the reissues
and stuff. This is a great resource,
I have been a fan since '74 and first
caught the band live on the Astounding
Tour. I have seen the band about 6 or 7
times (Hawklords, Levitation and
Chronicles tours included). Unfortunately
since moving to America in '89 I have yet
to see the band - I missed the whole 90's
era.
I have all their original releases on
viny through 89. I really only need to
find PXR5, Hawklords and Rock show
sessions to catch up with the original
releases on CD.
I saw another live release at Amazon.Com
called live from the dark side. I think
it is another "Dave Anderson" release. I
don't have any other details.
Keep up the good work!
Mike

hi,
good to see another good hawkwind site.
I'm a very big fan from about '81 onwards
and have pretty much all releases on
vinyl from the beginning up to hmm '90
ish and some later ones. Now i'm
duplicating with the cd releases!!
I have a fair bit of memorabilia
including some early concert programmes
74, 76 and lots of stuff from the 80's.
Not for sale unfortunately.
i'd love to get my collection valued but
i wouldn't sell at any cost

Great Site - If you can help me find a CD
copy of "The Friday Rock Show Sessions"
I'll be mega happy.

submitted by Nick on Fri, 30 Jun 00

Great site - I first saw Hawkwind at the
Harlow Free Festival in 1974 with Stacia
(who could forget such an event), then at
Cambridge and they also appeared in
Harlow again the following year. Space
Ritual has got to be one of my albums of
the century.
Keep up the good work.

submitted by Tom Johnson on Thu, 29 Jun 00

The first time I entered the Hawkwind
world I was swept away.
I'm only sorry cause it's so hard to
provide the shops with their music here
in Norway.
I just hope it get's easier soon.
Best wishes from Per-ge.
